The charge was given by the President of the Women and Girls’ Organisation, Diocese of Lagos West, Anglican Communion, Dr Lydia Odedeji, during her presidential address at the organisation’s 27th Annual Women’s Conference.

Odedeji urged women to demonstrate qualities that reflect their Christian faith, stressing the need for integrity and strength in dealing with challenges within their families and communities.
She encouraged participants to see their roles beyond the home, noting that Christian women can make meaningful contributions to the church and wider society through their conduct, leadership and commitment to positive values.
The statement, made available on Saturday, said the conference theme was drawn from Proverbs 31:25, which states: “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.”
The annual gathering brought together women to reflect on their faith, responsibilities and influence in society, while encouraging them to uphold values that promote honour and dignity.
Odedeji’s message underscored the importance of women living out their Christian values consistently, both in private and public life.
