NYCN CRS ELECTION 2024: Electoral Guidelines you must know before contesting for any position

ELECTORAL GUIDELINES FOR THE NYCN 2024 CONGRESS

1. Any candidate vying/contesting for any office in the Youth council must be a Cross Riverian, with proof of LG of origin certificate.

2. He/She must possess a minimum qualification of SSCE, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

3. Any candidate for an election in the Congress of the council must be an official delegate of the LGA, or Accredited VYO or State EXCO.

4. Every official delegate shall be eligible to vote and/or be voted for at the Congress of the Youth council.

5. Every official delegate shall be eligible to vote and/or be voted for, provided they meet the criteria.

6. Only persons who are serving or had served in the State Executive council of NYCN, or as past or serving coordinators of an LGA Chapter, or past/serving head/secretary of affiliated VYO can run for office in the Youth council.

7. Only serving or past members of the state Executive council, past/serving Chairman of LGA Chapter, shall be eligible to contest for the office of State Chairman, Deputy Chairman, vice Chairmen of the three senatorial districts of the council and State Treasurer.

8. Official delegates from any Chapter and affiliated VYO which has not fully met all its financial obligations shall not be accredited in the Congress.
