Nile University of Nigeria has awarded a full scholarship to Alayande David, one of the highest scorers in the 2024 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam. The 17-year-old student from Zamani College, Kaduna, achieved an outstanding score of 367 out of 400, which captured the attention of the university.
Impressed by David’s academic excellence and his expressed desire to study at Nile, the institution decided to offer him a full tuition scholarship. This gesture reflects Nile University’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s brightest students and fostering academic excellence.
During the scholarship award ceremony, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Nile University, emphasized the institution’s mission to recognize and nurture exceptional talent. “At Nile University, we believe in encouraging academic excellence by providing opportunities for outstanding students to thrive. David’s remarkable performance in the JAMB exam is a testament to his dedication and potential, and we are proud to support him with this scholarship,” Prof. Saleh stated.
David, expressing his gratitude, described the scholarship as a dream come true. “Nile University has always been my first choice, and now I can focus entirely on my studies without worrying about the financial burden on my parents. I’m incredibly grateful and excited to start this new chapter,” he said.
