Youths of Central Senatorial District Endorse Governor Bassey Otu for Second Term

The youths of the Central Senatorial District of Cross River State have unanimously endorsed His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, for a second term in office. The endorsement comes ahead of the official Central Senatorial District endorsement rally scheduled to hold in Ikom on May 10, 2025.

The gathering, which brought together youth representatives from the five local government areas in the district Yakurr, Obubra, Ikom, Etung, and Abi was led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Mobilization, Comr. Dan Obo Jnr.. The youths convened in Obubra LGA as a prelude to the major endorsement event in Ikom.

The day’s activities began with a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Obubra Local Government Area, Hon. Kingsley Ibon Arikpo. Comr. Dan Obo Jnr., speaking on behalf of the youths, expressed appreciation to the chairman for receiving them and reaffirmed the collective support of the youths for the administration of Governor Otu. He highlighted the administration’s impact on youth development, infrastructure, and inclusive governance as the basis for the endorsement.

In response, Hon. Arikpo commended the unity and commitment of the youths and assured them of his presence and support at the upcoming endorsement event. He praised Governor Otu’s leadership and welcomed the initiative to solidify youth backing across the senatorial district.

At the main ceremony venue hosted by Dan Obo jnr in Obubra Local Government Area, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and strong expressions of loyalty to the current administration. The highlight of the event was the formal endorsement of Governor Bassey Otu and his Deputy for a second term, a motion which was enthusiastically moved and adopted by youth leaders from across the district.
