CRIDCOM Chairman Urges Diaspora Cross Riverians To Support ‘People First Agenda’ Policy For State’s Development

Calabar, 9th May 2025

Hon. Otu Okor, Chairman of the Cross River State Diaspora Commission (CRIDCOM), has called on Cross Riverians in the diaspora to actively engage in the State’s ongoing reform efforts. This appeal is in line with the ‘People First Agenda’ policy of the Governor, aimed at prioritizing the needs and welfare of the people in the State’s developmental initiatives.

The CRIDCOM Chairman emphasised that the diaspora community’s contributions, expertise, and resources are crucial to the success of the State’s Development agenda. He urged them to support the government’s efforts by participating in various initiatives, sharing their skills and knowledge, while investing in the State’s economy.

The ‘People First Agenda’ policy is a people-centric approach to governance, focusing on the well-being and prosperity of the citizens. This policy aims to drive growth, development, and innovation in key sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and tourism.
