Ali Patrick Eneji Jnr Emerges Best Overall Student in MSc Data Science and Engineering, Honoured with Special Recognition

The University of Dundee, Scotland, has honoured Ali Patrick Eneji Jnr, a scholar from Cross River State, Nigeria, who graduated with Distinction in Data Science and Engineering and emerged as the Best Overall Student in the programme for the 2024/2025 academic session.

At a special post-convocation ceremony organized by the School of Science and Engineering, Ali Jnr was celebrated alongside other outstanding graduands in a high-level reception held at F20, Fulton Building of the university. During the event, he was presented with the Certificate of Recognition – MSc Data Science and Engineering Best Overall Student Award by Professor Fordyce Davidson, Dean and Bell Burnell Chair of the School.

Ali Jnr’s academic distinction is supported by his sponsorship as a Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Scholar, which further highlights the impact of Nigerian-funded academic excellence abroad.

Prior to his postgraduate success, his academic record has been consistently remarkable. He received early recognition during his secondary school years, including an honorary mention as an Associate Member of the American Mathematical Society (AMS) while a student at Saint Peter’s College, Garaku, Nasarawa State. He also won multiple medals from the National Mathematical Centre, Abuja, representing Nasarawa State at various JETS (Junior Engineers, Technicians and Scientists) competitions.
