### Tinubu Sends Strong Message to Nigerian Youths Ahead of 2027 Election
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerian youths to take an active role in determining the country’s political future by participating in the forthcoming 2027 general election.
The President, while addressing young Nigerians, said the election was not just about him but about the future and opportunities of the younger generation.
Tinubu urged eligible voters who had yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to do so, describing the card as an important instrument for influencing the country’s leadership through the ballot.
He maintained that the progress his administration had initiated would not be reversed, encouraging young Nigerians to exercise their voting rights and make their voices count.
According to the President, the future of the country largely depends on the choices Nigerians make at the polls.
He said: “To the youth of Nigeria, this election is about you, it’s not on me. Your future depends on this election. This progress has no reverse gear. It is left for you to use the weapon you have, and that weapon is the PVC. If you have not collected yours, please go and collect it.”
His remarks come as political activities and preparations gradually build towards the 2027 general election, with voter participation expected to remain a major issue in the country’s political landscape.
