Urgent News From Cross River Geographic Information Agency On Obtaining Of Certificates of Occupancy
The Cross River Geographic Information Agency (CRGIA) is the primary agency tasked with land management in the State. The end point of all transactions on Government Land across the State is a Certificate of Occupancy signed by the Governor of Cross River State.
In line with this, CRGIA invites all allotees of Government Land across the Southern Senatorial District to update their records with the State Government and obtain or Recertify their Certificate’s of Occupancy
BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATION TO HAVE A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY IN CROSS RIVER STATE
Participants are advised to take advantage of this exercise to
– Obtain Certificates of Occupancy (for those who were previously not issued)
– Recertify and obtain the new digital, bankable and tamper-proof C of
– Resolve Conflicting Ownership Records
– Avoid Encumbrance and Encroachment
– Avoid Cancellation of Allocation or Revocation of C of 0
EXERCISE DATES
The Records Update Exercise will take place from 1st November 2025
to 19th December 2025.
