The Special Adviser on Sports Development to the Governor of Cross River State, Ntufam Ekanem Ekpenyong, has paid a Yuletide visit to his hometown, Atan Onoyom, bringing smiles and goodwill to his people as part of the season’s celebrations.
During the visit, Ntufam Ekpenyong donated one cow and eleven 50kg bags of rice to the community, describing the gesture as a way of sharing in unity and spreading the “season of sweetness” with his kinsmen.
The traditional ruler, chiefs, and youths of the community expressed deep joy and appreciation, offering prayers and goodwill to Ntufam Ekpenyong for his consistent show of love. They commended him for always deeming it worthy to return home every Yuletide season to celebrate with the people and support them with gifts.
In his remarks, Ntufam Ekanem Ekpenyong praised the community leaders for sustaining peace and harmony, noting that their unity has continued to foster development. He assured them of his commitment to maintaining his regular visits as a mark of gratitude and continued solidarity.
The youth leadership of Atan Onoyom also applauded his thoughtful gesture, describing it as a tradition that has strengthened communal bonds and inspired hope. In response, Ntufam Ekpenyong commended the youths for their role in keeping the community united and peaceful, while reassuring them of better days ahead.
