Who’s to be blame: As Capital City begins to lost it Glory of Cleanliness again

Written by calabarGist

Calabar, long regarded as one of Nigeria’s cleanest cities, appears to be slipping back into poor sanitary conditions despite earlier reforms following the emergence of Governor Bassey Edet Otu.

Across the capital city, particularly in Calabar Municipal and several parts of Calabar South, dumpsters are reportedly overflowing with refuse. Many designated dump sites are filled beyond capacity, raising concerns among residents.

As a result, pedestrians and motorists are forced to navigate around heaps of waste, sometimes stepping on or driving past the spillovers.

Residents are now questioning the cause of the situation and calling for urgent attention to restore the city’s once-admired cleanliness status.
