UNICAL PROCEEDS ON EASTER HOLIDAY
The Management of the University of Calabar has granted approval for staff of the institution to proceed on Easter Holiday in compliance with the directive of the Federal Government.

A memo signed by the Registrar, Dr. Mrs. Chukwuka I. Icha states that the Easter holiday is slated for Friday, 3rd April 2026 (Good Friday) and ends on Monday, 6th April 2026 (Easter Monday).
Staff on essential duties are, however, directed to continue discharging their official schedules.

This is even as the Acting Chief Security Officer has been directed to ensure adequate security coverage on campus throughout the holiday period.
Staff are to also note, that work resumes on Tuesday, 7th April 2026.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Offiong Efanga Offiong wishes all Christians a joyous and refreshing Easter celebration.
