Truck Killed Bike Man in Calabar Tinapa Junction Amidst Hit-and-Run Scenario

A tragic accident involving a motorcycle rider and two separate vehicles has reportedly claimed the life of a man in Calabar Tinapa Junction , Cross River State, following what witnesses described as a disturbing hit-and-run sequence.

According to eyewitness accounts gathered at the scene, the incident began when individuals allegedly involved in chasing and confiscating motorcycles struck the victim in an initial hit-and-run accident. Residents around the junction said the rider survived the first impact but was left critically injured and unable to speak.

Moments later, a truck reportedly drove over the victim again, resulting in his death on the spot. Witnesses claimed the second impact proved fatal.

The truck involved in the incident has since been taken into police custody. It was reportedly sighted parked in front of the police station at Ikot Omin after the incident.

Sources at the scene further revealed that the deceased was later identified and removed by his family members, including his brother, who reportedly arrived to carry the body away.

The heartbreaking incident has sparked concern among residents over reckless driving, hit-and-run cases, and the dangers associated with motorcycle enforcement operations in the area.

As of the time of filing this report, authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident or whether any arrests have been made in connection with the first hit-and-run.
