The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled the list of its candidates for the House of Representatives elections across the federal constituencies in Cross River State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The released list features a blend of experienced politicians, former lawmakers, and new entrants who emerged to fly the party’s flag across the state’s constituencies.
According to the list made available, the APC candidates are as follows:
- Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency – Dr. Stella Odey-Ekpo
- Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency – Hon. Ngim Okpo
- Boki/Ikom Federal Constituency – Hon. Victor Abang (Mature)
- Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku Federal Constituency – Hon. Ushie Theresa Akwaji
- Etung/Obubra Federal Constituency – Blessing Egbara
- Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency – Rt. Hon. John Gaul Lebo
- Akpabuyo/Bakassi/Calabar South Federal Constituency (ABC) – Hon. Joseph Bassey (Papa)
- Odukpani/Calabar Municipality Federal Constituency – Hon. Effefiong Nta Eke
The development has continued to generate reactions among party faithful and political stakeholders across Cross River State as preparations intensify for the forthcoming elections.
Observers say the emergence of the candidates signals the party’s strategic move to consolidate its political strength across the state while positioning for victory in the national assembly elections.
Party supporters have also been urged to remain united and work collectively toward the just released candidates of various constituencies which was through a consensus by the Governor of the state and party leaders in ensuring the success of having all APC candidates of the house of representatives members at the polls.
