The Executive Chairman of Obubra Local Government Area, Hon. Kingsley Ibon Arikpo, has continued to redefine grassroots governance with the ongoing renovation and reconstruction of key structures within the Obubra Local Government Council Secretariat.
The facelift is part of the chairman’s efforts to improve the working environment for staff, enhance public service delivery, and restore the image of the council after years of neglect.
According to the council leadership, the previous administration left several facilities within the secretariat in poor condition. However, under the administration of Governor Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu and the leadership of Hon. Kingsley Arikpo, deliberate steps are being taken to transform the council into a more functional and conducive workplace.
Since assuming office, Hon. Arikpo has embarked on the renovation of strategic sections of the council secretariat, giving the premises a modern appearance that is both welcoming to visitors and comfortable for workers.
The council chairman reaffirmed his commitment to delivering quality leadership in line with Governor Otu’s “People First” agenda, emphasizing that infrastructural renewal remains a key component of his administration’s vision for a more productive and efficient local government.
