Everton Agree £24m Deal to Sign Tyrique George from Chelsea
Everton have reached a full agreement with Chelsea to sign highly-rated winger Tyrique George in a deal worth up to £24 million.
The transfer has been agreed on a permanent basis, with Everton set to pay an initial £18 million, while a further £6 million will be made up of performance-related add-ons. Chelsea have also secured a sell-on clause as part of the agreement, ensuring they will benefit from any future transfer involving the talented youngster.
George has already given the green light to the move, paving the way for the transfer to be completed once the remaining formalities, including a medical and contract signing, are finalized.
The move represents a significant investment by Everton as they continue to strengthen their squad with promising young talent ahead of the new season. George is regarded as one of England’s brightest emerging prospects, having impressed with his pace, dribbling ability and attacking flair during his development at Chelsea.
Although opportunities in Chelsea’s first team have been limited, the winger’s performances at youth level and his potential have attracted interest from several clubs. Everton have now won the race for his signature, believing he can play an important role in the club’s long-term project.
For Chelsea, the deal aligns with the club’s strategy of allowing talented academy graduates to pursue regular first-team football while retaining a financial interest through the negotiated sell-on clause.
With all parties now in agreement, Tyrique George is expected to become Everton’s latest addition as the Merseyside club continues its preparations for the upcoming campaign.
