Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has disclosed that he regularly asks his wife to pray for President Bola Tinubu to continue supporting him, saying such backing is crucial for him to deliver on his responsibilities as FCT minister.
Wike made the remark on Tuesday during the inauguration of the Water Supply Network to Bwari Satellite Town in the Bwari Area Council of the FCT.
Speaking at the event, the minister attributed the successes recorded by the FCT Administration to the confidence and support President Tinubu has given his team, noting that no minister can effectively implement projects without the backing of the President.
“I always tell my wife to pray that President Bola Tinubu continues to support me because, without the President’s support, it would be difficult to achieve these results,” Wike said.
The minister also highlighted the administration’s achievements, revealing that the FCT Administration has officially inaugurated 50 completed projects across the territory and is set to commission 10 additional projects before January.
He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to expanding infrastructure and improving access to essential services, particularly in satellite towns, stating that the newly commissioned water supply project would enhance access to clean and safe water for residents of Bwari and surrounding communities.
Wike assured residents that the Tinubu administration would continue investing in projects aimed at improving the quality of life and accelerating development across the Federal Capital Territory.
