Bologna Agree Deal to Sign Rahim Alhassane from Real Oviedo

Serie A side Bologna have reached an agreement to sign Rahim Alhassane from Spanish club Real Oviedo in a permanent transfer worth €3.5 million.

The Italian club has moved quickly to strengthen its defensive options ahead of the new season, securing the talented left-back after successful negotiations with Real Oviedo.

The deal will be a straight permanent transfer, with both clubs agreeing to a €3.5 million fee. Earlier discussions had included the possibility of an initial loan, but those plans were dropped as Bologna opted to complete the move outright.

Alhassane is now expected to travel to Italy in the coming days to undergo his medical examination before officially signing his contract with Bologna.

The 24-year-old has impressed with his performances at Real Oviedo, earning recognition for his defensive reliability, pace, and ability to contribute in attack. Bologna believe he has the qualities to strengthen their squad as they prepare for the upcoming Serie A campaign.

Once the medical is completed and all documents are signed, the transfer will be officially announced by the club.

The move marks another important addition for Bologna as they continue building their squad for the 2026/27 season, with Alhassane expected to compete for a starting role at left-back.

If everything goes according to plan, the defender should be available to join his new teammates during preseason preparations shortly after completing his medical.
