Cross River State Youth Parliament inaugurate local government Parliamentarians that are going to be pioneering the Parliamentary system of each local government they represent.

Cross River State Youth Parliament commences this local government Parliament inauguration 15th Feb 2022, starting from Calabar south Local government area to calabar municipality calabar.

The event was held at each local government council which is a pin point for for gathering youths when it comes to local government area affairs.

Youth parliament is another opportunity offered to young people to get involved in the legislative business and deliberate on Government policies that affects youths directly. It\’s also a platform that educate young people on how to carry out oversight functions on issues that bothered them and thus offers solutions to the council.

In attendance during the calabar south/Calabar municipality inauguration was Hon. Emmanuel Ekpenyong, Caucus Chairman of Southern District, Hon. Pascal Ebeze the Caucus Chairman of Northern District and Hon. Emmanuel Ogar Omang the Caucus Chairman of Central District, Hon. Ntui Obase, Hon. Mary Paul Odey and the clerk at table Ugi Emmanuel

Rt. Hon Gideon Mbukpa, Speaker Of Cross River State Youth Parliament assured the newly inaugurated parliamentarians that parliament will be brought to them and the business is always speaking for the youths at the council of parliamentarian
