Bayer Leverkusen have reached an agreement to sign Argentine defender Facundo Medina in a deal worth €25 million, including add-ons.
The Bundesliga club have successfully concluded negotiations, with both clubs agreeing on the transfer package. Medina has also accepted Bayer Leverkusen’s contract proposal, clearing the way for the move to be completed.
The 27-year-old is now expected to travel to Germany in the coming days to undergo his medical examinations before officially signing his contract with the reigning Bundesliga side.
Medina’s arrival is seen as another important addition to Bayer Leverkusen’s defensive unit as the club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season. Known for his aggressive defending, composure on the ball, and ability to play both as a centre-back and left-back, the Argentina international brings valuable experience at both club and international level.
