Friends and colleagues of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba have announced plans to hold a candlelight procession and artistes’ night in her honour as tributes continue to pour in following her death.

The memorial event, themed “An Evening of Love, Music & Memories,” is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, at LTV 8 (Blue Roof), Ikeja, Lagos. According to a memorial flyer shared on Osoba’s official Instagram page, the programme will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Organisers said the gathering is intended to celebrate the actress’s life, creative journey and lasting contributions to the Nigerian film industry. Family members, friends, colleagues, fans and well-wishers are expected to attend the evening of tributes, music and reflection.

Among those who have publicly mourned the actress is Nollywood actor Sanni, who described Osoba as his “dearest sister” in an emotional social media post.

Expressing his grief, he revealed that he had been unable to sleep since receiving the heartbreaking news of her passing.

> “Couldn’t sleep since last night, it’s well. Rest in peace my dearest sister, Temitope Osoba. We had amazing time and good memories together, till we meet again. I really don’t know what to say… gosh,” he wrote.

Since news of Osoba’s death emerged, fellow actors, filmmakers and fans have continued to share heartfelt tributes, remembering her for her talent, kindness and impact on Nollywood.

The upcoming candlelight and artistes’ night is expected to provide an opportunity for the entertainment community to celebrate her legacy while bidding her a final farewell.
