The Special Adviser to the Cross River State Governor on Youth Mobilization, Comr. Dan Obo Jnr., has received the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Central Senatorial District, John Ifere, during a courtesy visit to his residence.
The visit provided an opportunity for both political stakeholders to exchange views and discuss issues affecting the Central Senatorial District ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Ifere Highlights Senatorial Ambition
Speaking during the visit, John Ifere expressed delight at meeting Comr. Dan Obo, describing him as a fellow indigene from the Central Senatorial District and a neighbour.
Ifere explained that the visit was primarily to familiarise himself with Obo and strengthen relationships with stakeholders across the district.
He also formally highlighted his ambition to represent the Cross River Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly.
According to Ifere, his aspiration is driven by the desire to promote economic development and improve the standard of living across the Central Senatorial District.
He also challenged political aspirants to demonstrate their contributions and impact on the people, noting that leadership should be measured by tangible results.
Dan Obo Welcomes Ifere
Responding, Comr. Dan Obo Jnr. welcomed Ifere to his residence and appreciated him for the visit.
Obo acknowledged Ifere’s senatorial ambition and discussed some of the key challenges and areas requiring attention across the Central Senatorial District.
He wished the PDP candidate well in his political journey and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage with him ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The meeting ended with an exchange of pleasantries and discussions centred on the development and future of the Central Senatorial District.
