A Nigerian-born woman serving in the United States Army has appealed to President Donald Trump to intervene in the visa denial affecting her 10-year-old daughter, who she says is seriously ill and urgently needs medical attention.
The woman, identified as Uzamaka, made the emotional appeal in a video shared on TikTok, saying she has been separated from her daughter for about 10 years and fears she could lose her before they get the chance to reunite.
According to Uzamaka, repeated efforts to bring her daughter to the United States have been unsuccessful after the child’s visa application was denied.
She said the situation had left her desperate, particularly because of her daughter’s reported health condition and the need for urgent medical care.
Appealing directly to Trump, Uzamaka said she had served the United States and remained committed to obeying the country’s laws, but was now speaking as a mother seeking help for her child.
“Please do not scroll. I’m at the verge of losing my daughter. They said social media is powerful, and this is my last resort,” she said.
Uzamaka also appealed to members of the public to help amplify her message, expressing fears that time may be running out for her daughter.
The video has drawn attention online, with viewers reacting to the mother’s emotional appeal and her call for intervention.
