The Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC), Nigeria Region, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, following his re-election in the state governorship election held on Saturday.
The Christian organisation described Adeleke’s victory as a reflection of the confidence and trust placed in his leadership by the people of Osun State.
In a congratulatory letter dated August 16 and signed by the OAIC Regional Secretary, Snr. Ap. Joe O. Okoh, on behalf of the Regional President, HME Elder Israel Akinadewo FCA, PhD, the organisation said the governor’s victory was well deserved.
The letter, which was shared with PUNCH Online on Monday, stated that Adeleke’s re-election represented a significant expression of the people’s confidence in his administration.
“Your victory at the polls is a significant expression of the confidence and trust which the good people of Osun State have reposed in your leadership and administration,” the statement said.
The group urged the governor to see his re-election as a renewed mandate to continue serving the people and advancing the development of the state.
Adeleke secured a second term after defeating his major challenger in the keenly contested Osun governorship election, with the result sparking congratulatory messages from political leaders, groups and other stakeholders.
The OAIC, while congratulating the governor, expressed confidence that his renewed mandate would translate into further progress for the people of Osun State.
