# Bayer Leverkusen Agree Deal to Re-Sign Moussa Diaby from Al Ittihad
Bayer Leverkusen have reached an agreement to sign Moussa Diaby from Al Ittihad, with the French winger set to make an emotional return to the Bundesliga club.
The deal is understood to be worth more than €25 million, bringing an end to negotiations between the two clubs. The agreement was led by Leverkusen director Kim Falbenberg, who played a key role in getting the transfer over the line.
Diaby is now expected to travel to Germany to undergo his medical tests ahead of completing the move. Once the medical and final contractual formalities are successfully completed, the winger will officially return to Leverkusen.
The 27-year-old was keen on a return to the German club and made his desire clear during the negotiations. That willingness to rejoin Leverkusen helped facilitate an agreement after talks between the parties.
Diaby previously spent four seasons at Leverkusen, establishing himself as one of the Bundesliga’s most dangerous attacking players. His pace, creativity and ability to play across the front line made him a key figure during his first spell.
His return will give Leverkusen another proven attacking option as they prepare for the new campaign. The club will now hope his medical goes smoothly before announcing the transfer officially.
After finally reaching an agreement, Diaby is now closing in on a return to familiar surroundings in Germany.
