Everton Agree Deal to Sign Folarin Balogun
Everton have reached an agreement with AS Monaco to sign United States international striker Folarin Balogun in a major move for the club’s attacking options.
The club-to-club agreement has been completed for a package worth €45 million plus €5 million in add-ons. A sell-on clause will also be included in the final agreement between Everton and Monaco.
Balogun has now been given authorization to travel for his medical on Tuesday, with AS Monaco approving the striker’s departure after the two clubs reached an agreement.
The 25-year-old forward is set to sign a long-term contract with Everton running until June 2030, with an option included for a further season.
Balogun is expected to bring pace, movement and goals to Everton’s attack as the club continues to strengthen its squad. The USMNT striker has experience in both Ligue 1 and Premier League football and will now be looking to make his mark at Goodison Park.
With the agreement completed and the medical scheduled, Balogun’s transfer to Everton is now moving towards the final stages.
