Enzo Fernández to Manchester City: Deal Agreed for £125m+
Manchester City have reached an agreement to sign Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández in a blockbuster transfer worth more than £125 million following lengthy negotiations between the two clubs.
Chelsea have now approved the sale, bringing an end to talks over the Argentina international’s future. Fernández had made it clear that Manchester City was his preferred destination, with the midfielder only wanting a move to the Premier League champions.
The deal has now been completed between the clubs, with Fernández set to undergo his medical before finalising his move to the Etihad Stadium.
The 2022 World Cup winner is expected to become one of the most expensive signings in Manchester City’s history. His arrival would also represent a major statement from Pep Guardiola’s side as they strengthen their midfield with one of Europe’s leading young talents.
Fernández joined Chelsea from Benfica in January 2023 and quickly became an important figure at Stamford Bridge. However, after a long negotiation, Chelsea have agreed to let the midfielder leave for a fee exceeding £125 million.
With the club agreement now in place and Fernández preparing for his medical, the transfer is moving towards its final stages.
