Nigerian-born bodybuilder Samson Dauda has finished second in the Men’s Open division at the 2026 Mr Olympia competition in Las Vegas, United States, as Nick Walker claimed his first-ever Mr Olympia title.
Walker secured the Sandow trophy after finishing with 18 points, while Dauda followed closely with 20 points. Derek Lunsford placed third with 24 points.
The 2026 Mr Olympia was held from September 24 to 27, with the Men’s Open finals taking place on September 26 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
Dauda, who won the Mr Olympia title in 2024, returned to the podium after finishing fourth in 2025. He had also entered this year’s competition in strong form after winning the Europa Pro on September 13.
Despite finishing second overall, Dauda won the finals round with a score of five points, while Walker scored 10. However, Walker’s advantage from Friday’s prejudging was enough to secure the overall title by a two-point margin.
Walker’s victory marked his first Mr Olympia championship after he finished sixth in the 2025 competition. He also received the 2026 People’s Champion award.
Dauda earned $200,000 for his runner-up finish, while Walker took home the $600,000 first-place prize.
The top five finishers in the Men’s Open division were Nick Walker, Samson Dauda, Derek Lunsford, Andrew Jacked and Tonio Burton.
