Popular Nigerian streamer and content creator Peller has sparked reactions online after challenging the belief that masturbation, popularly called “soapy” in Nigerian slang, can block a person’s blessings.
Peller made the statement during a nighttime car livestream with fellow streamers, where he shared an experience from the day before his wedding.
According to the streamer, he engaged in the act a day before his wedding, but received a luxury gift worth millions of naira on the wedding day.
“The day before my wedding, I did soapy, and on my wedding, King Ochacho dashed me a ₦400 million house,” Peller said during the livestream.
He cited the experience to counter the popular belief that masturbation can prevent people from receiving blessings or experiencing good fortune.
His comments have since drawn attention, with the statement likely to generate further conversations among social media users who hold different views on the issue.
During the same livestream, Peller also addressed questions from his friends about the promotion of his song, Shasho.
When asked why he appeared to have stopped promoting the track, the streamer explained that he had not abandoned the song. His friends, however, remarked that songs cannot remain trending forever.
Peller’s comments on both his personal experience and music promotion have added to the conversations surrounding the entertainer’s activities online.
