Nigerian comedian and gospel entertainer Dele Omowoli has expressed deep sorrow following the death of gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings.
Omowoli took to social media to mourn his colleague, revealing that they were together just a day before the singer’s death.
In an emotional tribute, the entertainer recalled how they hugged each other during their last encounter, making the news of his passing particularly difficult to accept.
“We were together just yesterday, and today I am hearing you are gone. There is truly nothing in this life worth fighting over,” Omowoli wrote.
He also reflected on the uncertainty of life, urging people to love one another, forgive easily and live peacefully rather than allow disagreements to come between them.
The comedian described the late singer’s voice as unique and unforgettable, expressing disbelief that someone he had recently seen and embraced was suddenly gone.
Toluwanisings’ family confirmed his death in a statement shared on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, disclosing that he passed away in the early hours of the day.
The family described him as a beloved husband, family member and gospel minister, while asking fans and well-wishers to remember his wife and loved ones in their prayers.
The cause of his death has not been officially disclosed, while funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in due course.
Toluwanisings was known for his energetic praise songs and contributions to Nigerian gospel music. His death has continued to attract emotional tributes from fellow gospel musicians, entertainers and fans who have celebrated his life and musical legacy.
