WORLD TOURISM DAY set to unveil the carnival calabar theme.

Since 1980, September 27 has been set aside to celebrate the World Tourism Day. The date marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Statutes of the Organization in 1970, paving the way for the establishment of United Nations World Tourism Organization, UNWTO five years later.

Joining the Students Community of Cross River State and other well meaning personalities across the globe to felicitate with the World on this year\’s edition of the World Tourist Day 2022. Tourism’s relevance has never been clearer. The time is now to seize this opportunity to rethink how we do tourism.

The official celebration, being the 42th edition, will be held in Bali, Indonesia, with the theme; #Rethinking Tourism, while we will be unveiling the theme of Africa\’s Largest Street Party, The Carnival Calabar, live in the Excos Chambers, Governor\’s Office, 9:00 am, as a boost to our tourism sector.
