Stay Off Nasarawa State University Or Rïsk Stonïng, Student Leaders Warns ASUU President Over Planned Visit

National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has frowned at the planned visit of ASUU President, President Emmanuel Osodeke to Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) on solidarity.

NANS warnéd Professor Osodeke to “in his own interest and safety not to come close to our campus or Nasarawa State”.

The ASUU of NSUK had announced the planned visit on solidarity with the union over efforts by the state government and management to coerce them into pulling out of ongoing strike action which they remain uncompromising.

Reacting however in a statement dated September 30, 2022, NANS of Nasarawa State axis warns that the ASUU President rïsk stonïng by students if he set his foot on the school premises.

In the statement signed by its JCC Chairman, Comrade Theophilus Achuku and National President of Comrade Sani Jibo, they lamented that the ASUU President is playing politics with their future.

NANS welcomed the decision of the management on the scheduled reopening of the school for academic activities and vowed to resist any attempt to further keep the students at home by all means.

Meanwhile, take away TETfund intervention projects as a result of ASUU struggle, NSUK will be reduced to a glorified secondary school.
