…Passes Vote of no confidence on INEC
Labour Party, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, has rejected the results of the presidential election in the state as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The Party has also passed a vote of no confidence on the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the State, Mr Cyril Omoregbe as well as the entire Returning Officers sent to the thirty-one local government areas of the State by the Commission.

Addressing Journalists at the INEC Headquarters at the end of the presidential result collation in Uyo, the State Chairman of Labour Party, Honourable Lincoln Charles averred that the results collated did not represent the true figures gotten at the different polling units, and questioned why the local government Returning Officers were inconsistent in their presentations.
He noted that Mr Peter Obi won convincingly in Akwa Ibom state, and urged INEC to present the true result with immediate effect.

According to Honourable Lincoln Charles, \” the confusion and conspiracy started when Cyril Omoregbe led INEC issued only 1900 Agent tags to Labour Party\’s agents instead of 4, 500 tags the party applied for.\”
He mentioned that his party\’s agents were denied access to their polling units, hence election was rigged in those places.
The Akwa Ibom Labour Party chairman also hinted that out of the twenty-three local government area results that was made public yesterday, Mr Cyril Omoregbe called for the inflation of figures behind the camera, even at the presence of the party chairmen and journalist today.
He vowed that his party will approach the Court for justice to be given to Mr Peter Obi and other candidates in Akwa Ibom State.
