Álvaro Arbeloa: “Every Decision Was for Them”
Álvaro Arbeloa has criticised the decisions made during the match involving Manchester United, claiming that several key calls went in favour of the English side.
Speaking to Sky, Arbeloa expressed his frustration with the officiating and suggested that the balance of decisions throughout the match was heavily tilted towards Manchester United.
“Every decision was for them,” Arbeloa said.
The former Real Madrid player also referred to Manchester United’s previous game against Manchester City, saying he already had concerns about how things could develop.
“I knew after the game against Manchester City that they don’t like Manchester United to lose,” Arbeloa added.
Arbeloa went on to point to what he described as several incidents that benefited Manchester United. Among the moments he highlighted was a foul involving United defender Harry Maguire.
“There were so many things for Man United, you can see it in the foul by Maguire,” he said.
His comments underline his dissatisfaction with the decisions made during the match, with Arbeloa believing that Manchester United benefited from a number of calls.
