APC CROSS RIVER CENTRAL SENATORIAL PRIMARIES: NO VICTOR, NO VANQUISHED, GOD ALONE GIVES POWER

With humility, gratitude, and a high sense of responsibility, I wholeheartedly accept my nomination as the Senate Candidate for Cross River Central Senatorial District of All Progressives Congress (APC) for 2023 general election.

My most sincere gratitude to the 330 delegates that participated in yesterday’s primary elections held in Ikom Township Stadium. My nomination by majority of our party delegates in a closely contested primaries has further reinforced my conviction that only God gives power.

Let me use this opportunity to most importantly congratulate my beloved brothers and fellow aspirants, CHIEF AKIN RICKETS, CHIEF OKOI OBONO-OBLA, CHIEF LEO AFU AND MY DEAR SISTER, BARR. MARY EKPERE who are also eminently qualified to occupy the senate seat, I want to state that there is no victor, no vanquished. We are all winners today, and together we shall embark on this rescue and rebuild mission of our Senatorial District.

I would also like to thank all party stakeholders, elders and partners who made this mandate possible. You will not regret your decisions to throw your weights behind my aspiration. I pledge never to let you down.

I dedicate my nomination to the good people of Central Senatorial District. I enjoin my fellow contenders, their supporters and our teeming members to take ownership of this project. Let’s come together as family members to build a formidable and indivisible party. The bigger business is to face the other parties in the general elections come 2023.

Furthermore, I commend the Leader of our great party in Cross River State, His Excellency, Sir Ben Ayade, state Exco of the APC under the able chairmanship of Barr. ALPHONSUS OGAR EBA, the monitoring team of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and the media for providing a level playing field for all contestants.
