Chavarría, 28, is set to join the blues on a long-term contract as the Blues continue strengthening their squad ahead of the new season. The experienced full-back has impressed with his consistent performances for Rayo Vallecano, earning a reputation for his defensive reliability, energy down the left flank, and ability to contribute in attack.
Chelsea view the Spaniard as an important addition to bolster competition at left-back and add valuable experience to the squad. Once the paperwork is finalized, the player is expected to undergo medical tests before the official announcement.

Supporters will now await the club’s official confirmation, with Chavarría expected to become the latest arrival at Stamford Bridge in the coming days.
If completed as expected, the Spanish defender will begin a new chapter in the Premier League after establishing himself as one of Rayo Vallecano’s dependable performers in La Liga. Chelsea will hope his arrival provides added depth and quality as they prepare to compete across multiple competitions during the 2026/27 campaign.
