The Brotherhood of the Cross and Star spokesman, PCS Amah Williams, called for a press briefing at the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star headquarters in Cross River State, Calabar, located at Ambo, in respect to the celebration of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star 66th Anniversary (Mark of the Redeem), also known as 8 Eton Day, which began on August 8, 1958.

According to the spokesperson, PCS Amah, the celebration is to reflect the significant spiritual and physical impact of BCS in Nigeria, which symbolizes God’s presence on earth as stated in the book of Revelation. 

Also, the March of the Redeemed, from Eton Street to Mbukpa Road in Calabar, signaled the revelation of BCS as God\’s New Kingdom on earth, as recorded in Revelation 11:15, 211–5.

During the celebration, members clad in white sandstone, representing purity and righteousness. A marching process was experienced, which marked the beginning of the black race\’s spiritual emancipation.

 The BCS Spokesman, PCS Amah, identified the event as an annual celebration that brings the children of God together to celebrate God\’s redemption, unity, and salvation in one brotherhood of God, man, and other creatures of God, on the operational principle of pure love.

Furthermore, the spokesman said His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu has called on all religions, peoples, governments, and nations of the world to jettison every policy or action that brings segregation, violence, and division amongst the human family for Eton Day signals.

While briefing the pressmen about the 8 Eton Day, keynote achievements of His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu were mentioned, such as his involvement in ending the Nigerian civil war through his pronouncement in January 1970.

 Since the inception of BCS 1958, advocacy programs have been organized in Nigeria, easing the insecurity crisis in Abuja through BCS marches around the city. BCS has created peace among ethnic groups and offers social services to Nigerians and across the world.

 The PCS Amah ended by saying that His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu called on Nigerians to come to the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star to experience boundless love and abundance of grace upon humanity.
