The chairman of the Youth Council Cross River State Chapter, Comr. Dan Obo Jr., holds a peace meeting with recent communities that are involved in communal clashes.

It was recorded some weeks ago that Ovonum and Ofatura youths went to the field with arms and weapons that led to the destruction of certain lives and properties and the development of these involved communities.

In accordance with creating peace among both communities, a member representing Obubra/Etung federal constituency, Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba, who is humbly represented by his youthfulness, Dr. Dan Jnr, has called on a meeting with youths, chiefs, men, and women of both communities to consider peace as a choice for better development.

Hon. Mike Etaba, who was represented by the National Youth Council chairman, Cross River State Chapter, Comr. Dan Obo Jr., explained the importance of peace and the reason to see peace as an important part of growing.

Dan explains the effect of youth councils regarding peace creation,where every warring community has received them to talk about seeing peace as the best way to live among ourselves instead of warring.

Dan calls on the chiefs to see peace among themselves (warring communities) and to always impact the youths on creative ideas if land disputes arise instead of creating war as a form of bringing peace.
