Christopher Eweh Agbeh: Ogoja To Boost Agribusiness With 40,000 Oil Palm Seedlings

The Executive Chairman, Ogoja Local Government Area, Hon Christopher Eweh Agbeh has pledged to Supply over 40,000 palm seedlings to palm plantation farmers in Ogoja during the next planting season.

The Chairman made the commitment when he visited the Cross River Agricultural Development Project (CRADP) ministry of Agriculture in Ogoja.

The Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Eweh Agbeh was at the Agric Department to discuss with the Director of Agric, Mrs Iwong Josephine on how best to raise the sprout seed nursery palms preparatory to the next planting season.

He urged the director to do everything within her powers to ensure the initial logistics were in place since he has already commenced the processes for the delivery of the sprout palm seedlings

Speaking earlier, Mrs Josephine said the challenge at the moment was availability of adequate water supply for the nursery and promised to act accordingly as directed by the Chairman.
