Collapses of electricity in abuja at June 12th
Several cities in Nigeria, including the federal capital Abuja, were on Sunday, June 12, thrown into darkness following the collapses of the national grid, the sixth reported collapse in 2022.
It was gathered that the grid collapse on Sunday evening leading to the shutdown of the outgoing electricity feeders of some power distribution companies.
The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company and the Jos Electricity Distribution Plc confirmed the development in statements to their customers.
It would be recalled that the national grid had collapsed in April, as a result of vandalism on a transmission tower, leading to a loss of about 400 megawatts of electricity, according to the Transmission Company of Nigeria.
