Comr. Dan Obo Jr. Inaugurates Harmonisation Committee and charges them to be transparent.

The Chairman,National Youth Council of Nigeria,Cross River State Chapter, Comr. Dan Obo Jr., after the just concluded Cross River State Agricultural Youth Summit, Dan set out a harmonisation committee to enable the distribution of grants that will facilitate the agro-business and provision of food to Cross River State and Nigeria at large, thereby creating self-employment for youths.

Dan Obo calls on all committee groups consisting of 18 local government areas; each group consists of a chairman and secretary with its own members that will enable them to brainstorm on eligible cross-riverians to attain the grants.

Dan explained his action for creating the committee instead of using the state exco and local government coordinators for distribution. He stated that for transparency and equity, he decided that a fresh member should be chosen as part of the committee, from the chairman to the floor members of the committee. Noting that, in all the committees, everyone has served in one way or another for the youth council

He urges the committee chairman and its members to carry their various state and local government coordinators along in all they do regarding the selection. On this note, I have distanced myself from the people you all will bring or submit—comr. Dan Obo Jr.

The representative of Zenith Bank appreciates the youth. While she went further to explain the differences in account opening from the cooperative account to the savings account, she explained the importance of having a new account with Zenith despite your already existing account with them.

Comr. Dan Obo Jr. also explains the importance of having the Zenith account, especially to all the ward awardees of these grants. To avoid a tendency where the cooperative account is funded but there’s stress to distribute to other accounts because of the network and differences in bank accounts
