On behalf of the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement, ‏(WEE) Policy and the Launch of Project Earn From the Soil in Cross River state.

As you are aware, the WEE Policy, approved last year, represents a landmark initiative aimed at unlocking the full potential of Nigerian women, who constitute approximately 50% of our population. Recognizing the diverse regional dynamics across Nigeria, we have identified the need for a tailored approach to ensure effective implementation in the South-South region.

The forum will bring together key officials and stakeholders to develop effective metrics for coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating WEE initiatives. In line with domesticating the WEE Policy, we are launching \”Project Earn from the Soil\” as a strategic initiative to empower women economically in the South-South region to leverage the agricultural potential of the area while addressing the unique challenges and opportunities faced by women in rural and semi-urban communities

The objectives of this forum include:

Promoting collaboration between state governments, CSOs, and keyMDAs
Identifying region-specific challenges andopportunities
Developing actionable plans tailored to our unique socio-economiccontext.
