The Cross River State Government has called for increased investment and establishment of businesses, promising a friendly environment with minimal taxes and levies. Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Affairs, Comrade Enyam Joseph-Kelvin, made this call at the recent graduation of the Canaan Business School Jet Cohort graduation ceremony in Calabar on June 2, 2024. He also revealed that the Government has secured opportunities for Cross Riverians, and has simplified the process of establishing businesses.

Hon. Enyam congratulated the graduates on their determination to succeed in the business sector and encouraged them to put their newfound knowledge into practice. The Business Master Class covered intensive training in public speaking, personal development, executive strategy, and other courses.

In his remarks, The Chancellor of the Canaan Business School, Mr. John Collins Idim, thanked the Government of Cross River State, members of the faculty, and friends of the school for their support and dedication, which has fostered a community of learners in the business space. Furthermore, Mr John Collins Idim said the Business School was founded with a sole purpose of inspiring young leaders of thought in all sectors particularly in the business space, He further assured the Government that the high standard will be maintained while congratulating the students for their willingness to learn and for being of good conduct throughout the session.

The lecturers, including Oyo Effiom, Offiong Ikpeme, Emmanuel Awor, and Daniel Kanu, urged the graduates to stay focused and apply their knowledge to overcome challenges in the business world. The graduating students expressed gratitude to God and Canaan Business School for the impactful session, which has opened up new possibilities and opportunities for them. Highlights of the event included a graduation lecture, certificate presentation, special presentations, cake cutting, music, and dance.
