The Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Cross River State – Dr Helen A. Isamoh- Egodo hosted representatives from Garudha Putih, Netherlands BV in a meeting which was held in Abuja on the 10th day of October 2023. The engagement was in a bid to persuade the organizations to take up certain investment considerations in the state.
Also present in the meeting were the Honorable Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Hon. Chief Francis Ekpenyong (PhD).

Garudha Putih is an organization focused on humanitarian services and poverty alleviation which is evident in their numerous humanity based initiatives and human capital development projects in several countries and continents for so many years.
Thankfully, in the course of the engagement, Dr Egodo was able to attract their interest and further acceptance to fund humanitarian intervention projects in Cross River State, facilitate housing solutions and rehabilitation centers for the vulnerable population in some parts of the state and also oversee the construction of good transportation infrastructures; roads, sea ports, rail ways and sophisticated drainage systems to mitigate natural disasters and reduce such risks.
She further emphasized local content and proposed the employment and engagement of reliable indigenous companies and individuals to the sites upon the commencement of these projects.
Dr Samuel Adzongo, who is one of the representatives from Garudha Putih poured encomiums on the Governor of Cross River State, further expressed his appreciation to Hon. Dr Helen Isamoh-Egodo for convening the meeting and pledged to ensure adequate and timely funding for the execution of stated projects.
Dr Egodo seized the moment to intimate them on the people’s first agenda of His Excellency, the Governor of Cross River State, promising to facilitate their interface and interaction with the Governor after due diligence is exercised.
The Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Hon. Chief (Dr )Francis Ekpenyong commended Dr Egodo and assured her of the readiness of his ministry, to work with her to ensure the successful implementation of these laudable investment in Cross River State.
The meeting was adjourned to a future date where conclusive analysis of the 100% funding by Garudha Putih, provision of certificate of capital, provision of sovereign guarantee, timelines and methodological approaches shall be discussed.
