In the spirit of the Yuletide season, Evang. (Ntufam) (Hon.) Kingsley Ntui Isong, the member representing Etung State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly, hosted an engagement session with stakeholders of Etung, where he also distributed palliatives to constituents.

The event which took place on January 6, 2025, at the residence of Prince Ebuta Ayuk in Effraya, the Headquarters of Etung Local Government Area, reflected his commitment to expressing gratitude and giving back to his people.

In his address, Evang. Ntui expressed heartfelt appreciation to the people of Etung for their support during his election and their continued endorsement of the Apostle (Ntufam) Prince Bassey Edet Otu led administration in Cross River State.

He further stressed onthe importance of unity and the extension of support to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels, emphasizing that collective progress is rooted in shared commitment and mutual respect.

Prominent figures at the event lauded his inclusive leadership and dedication to his constituency. Prince Ebuta Ojong Ayuk, former Adviser to the President of the Federal Republic on Informal Sector; Ntufam Gabe Odu Oji, former Commissioner for Water Resources; Barr Gilbert Ntui Agbor, Special Adviser to the Governor on Asset Management & Recovery; Hon. (Sir) Henry Njar Anom, Chairman of Etung Local Government Council; and Distinguished Senator John Owan Enoh, Minister of State for Industry, all commended his efforts.

 

A key highlight of the session was the distribution of palliatives to various groups, including stakeholders, youth organisations, women associations, and political party structures across the 10 political wards of the state constituency. Beneficiaries included chapter and ward executives, members of the Etung Women Network Organisation, the Yellow Beret Group, and other support groups.

The items distributed included crested bags of rice and cash gifts, warmly received by the attendees, who expressed their appreciation for the lawmaker’s generosity and concern for their welfare.

While some praised the initiative as a thoughtful and timely gesture during the festive season, reflecting his genuine care for his people, others saw it as a much-needed relief for families facing the challenges of these tough economic times.
