CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR Inauguration, University of Cross River State (Unicross) Postgraduate Executives, led by Comr. Ewelu Otu Okoi aka Great Ewelu

The event started with an opening remark by the Eleco chairman, Engr. Iwara Omini, who appreciated all the attendees. He encouraged the newly elected executives to see love and support among themselves.

Comr. Engr. Iwara Omini stated, “In all that we have been doing, we should continue doing it, and as we progress, forget about drawing stones on each other.”

The Eleco chairman called out the newly elected postgraduate executives to be fully inaugurated officially.

Bar. Ubi Onen, esq., led the oath for the newly elected executive as the inauguration ceremony officially began.

The newly elected Unicross postgraduate president, Comr. Ewelu Okoi Otu, appreciated his predecessor, colleagues who came out during the electoral journey, and also saw him as worthy to lead the Unicross Postgraduate Students.

Ewelu continued by saying, “His led administration will press forward with speed and urgency, for we have much to do in a time of challenges and possibility.
Much to repair.
Much to restore.”

Ewelu promised to protect the interests of the association. He also promised to give his all in the service not of power but of possibilities. Not driven by personal ambition but by a passion for the public good. And together, we will forge a PGSA narrative of positivity, not negativity. Of togetherness, not separation. Of light, not darkness.

Comr. Ewelu Otu Okoi, after his speech, appointed Francis Odey as chief of staff.

Mr. Austin Kekong, the step-aside president of Unicross Postgraduate, says in his speech, “It is with great pleasure that I officially hand over the responsibilities of this role to the newly elected president and his executive team. Serving as the President of the Postgraduate Students Association since my inauguration on December 7th, 2021, has been an honor and a privilege. Over the past two years, we have faced numerous challenges and seized various opportunities, and I am confident that under your leadership, the association will continue to grow and thrive.

Mr. Kennedy okoi expressed his happiness, stating clearly that he loves students unionism, mentioning his days of aluta activities, and he appreciated UNICAL postgraduate president Comr. Obedience, the Eleco chairman, as he officially welcomed the newly inaugurated executive.

He reminded the president of his promises during the campaign and urged him to deliver on them with his words. Same for the executives, who need love and support to grow into better leaders.

Ntufam Bar. Victor Ndifon looked at the aim of the meeting as a tool to guide his speech. He applauded the speech of the president, and he encouraged the newly inaugurated executive to draw themselves close to their dean and to see the impact of leaving a legacy for the next PSG.

The dean of Unicross Postgraduate, Prof. Mathew Oga applauded the journey so far PGSA students at Unicross. He appreciated Eleco and other electoral officials.

UNICAL postgraduate President Comr. Prince Obedience Abeng charges the newly inaugurated unicross postgraduate executive led by Comr. Owelu Otu that there’s a lot of responsibility for his position.

Therefore, he urges the postgraduate students to support this administration, knowing the intelligence that everyone has.

A closing remark by the Eleco Chairman, Engr. Iwara Omini, who appreciates all for coming and wishes all a successful journey home.
