Popular Nigerian digital creator, Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, better known as Jarvis, has explained why she shaved her hair ahead of her wedding to fellow TikTok star, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller.
The decision to shave her head had sparked speculation on social media, with some people suggesting that it was linked to a traditional or cultural marriage ritual.
However, Jarvis has dismissed the claims, revealing that the haircut was simply part of preparations for her bridal hairstyle.
According to the content creator, her hairstylist recommended shaving her hair to make it easier to properly install her wig and hair extensions for her wedding looks.
Jarvis addressed the speculation in a trending video shared on social media on Monday, where she explained the reason behind the unusual hairstyle.
“I shaved my hair because I wanted my hair installation to be perfect,” she said.
Her explanation comes as attention continues to surround her relationship and upcoming marriage to Peller, with fans closely following preparations for the couple’s wedding.
The viral haircut had generated various reactions online, particularly because of its dramatic appearance and the cultural interpretations attached to shaving one’s hair before marriage.
Jarvis, however, made it clear that there was no traditional marital rite behind her decision, stressing that the haircut was primarily for her desired bridal hairstyle.
