Senator Oluremi Tinubu arrived in Cross River as part of efforts to expand the reach of the Renewed Hope Initiative and Federal Government interventions aimed at addressing food insecurity and providing support for vulnerable Nigerians.
The landmark programme is being organised in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfareand other partners, with the objective of strengthening food assistance systems for vulnerable communities across the South-South region.

Welcoming the First Lady to Cross River, Dr. Martha Agba described her visit as a significant development for the state and the wider South-South region, particularly at a time when initiatives that directly improve the welfare of families and vulnerable citizens are increasingly important.
She commended Senator Oluremi Tinubu for championing programmes focused on improving the lives of ordinary Nigerians, especially women, children and vulnerable households.
Dr. Agba expressed optimism that the National Community Food Bank would provide meaningful assistance to vulnerable families across the South-South region.

The First Lady’s visit has generated significant excitement across Cross River State, with thousands of women, youths, support groups and other residents turning out to welcome her and express support for the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Dr. Agba said Cross River was delighted to host Senator Oluremi Tinubu and appreciated her for bringing an initiative with direct humanitarian and welfare benefits to the region.
She noted that the South-South zonal launch is expected to strengthen the distribution of food assistance and other forms of social support to vulnerable communities across the region.
