The endorsement will take place during a special thanksgiving and solidarity rally scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026, at St. Columba’s Primary School Field, Idum-Mbube, by 11:00 a.m.
In a statement signed by the President-General of Mbube Nation, Prof. Tony Eyang, the community extended an open invitation to the public to attend the event, which is aimed at appreciating the Governor and his Deputy for what they described as impactful governance and inclusive leadership.
The Mbube people highlighted several reasons for the endorsement, including the Governor’s decision to choose their son, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, as his running mate and his continued collaboration with him as Deputy Governor.
They also cited key infrastructural developments such as the rehabilitation of the Mbube-Ogoja Road and the planned construction of the Mbube East-Obudu Road, alongside the appointment of Mbube indigenes into strategic positions within the state government.
According to the statement, the community acknowledged other ongoing state interventions, which they said have positively impacted the area.
