- APPRECIATION MESSAGE
- My Great People of Biase. I thank you all for your love and support and the joy that you shared with me on the occasion of my inauguration as Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs. My gratitude to everyone of you is immeasurable and I am humbled by your continuing congratulatory messages as I begin my service to you and the state.
Your presence at my inauguration strongly underlined the support I have often received from all of you and served as a testimony of your acknowledgement of the unceasing support that would enable me to serve every constituent in our state. Your presence was also an affirmation of the confidence you have in me and your trust that I will perform the duties of my Ministry as a daughter of Biase and in a manner that will bring pride and honour to Biase.
I have no doubt that you all had to scuttle or postpone other important engagements in order to be present at our inauguration. Thank you very much.
I am thankful to His Excellency, our Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Otu and his dear Wife, Rev Mrs Bassey Edet Otu for the confidence they bestowed in me by appointing me to serve in his administration as the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs. I recognize the responsibilities that come with that assignment as well as the expectations of people of our state in the duties of the Ministry. I have no illusions about the enormity of the humanitarian needs of many of the people of our state. But I am comforted in the knowledge that I will tirelessly devote my time and energy to help accomplish the promises of the new season that His Excellency has set out to fulfill for Cross River State.
I also want to thank you all for the reception ceremony that you organized to celebrate me and my brother Commissioner from Biase.
Although it was a reception to honour my colleague, DG Due process and me, I was happy to see people from virtually every ward in Biase and every Local Government at the event particularly because the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs will be responsive to the needs of everyone in all our Local Government Area and State in general.
Indeed Biase has been blessed by our appointments into the service of our dear state. I promise to work with you every day and to serve you in every way possible.
I am thankful to God for surrounding me with the strength and goodness of every Biase son and daughter and I am proud to be counted as your daughter. I thank you as you all continue to put me in your prayers because your strength will amplify the effectiveness of my service.
It is the dawn of our season of sweetness and I accept my new position as a major beam in the rays of a glorious sunshine. I will serve our State with the utmost humility, transparent candor, loyalty, and humanely.
Biase I thank you!
Biase I honour you.
Biase I applaud your love and support.
Thank you my people.
Dr. Mrs. Helen Isamoh Egodo
