Nigerian winger Femi Azeez has completed a move to Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion from Championship club Millwall.
The 25-year-old signed a four-year contract with Brighton after the clubs finalised the deal following a late transfer deadline-day agreement. Both sides submitted a deal sheet before the initial 11pm deadline, allowing them to complete the transfer before the extended 1am deadline.
Brighton confirmed the signing on Wednesday, describing Azeez as one of the most exciting attacking talents in the Championship.
The Nigerian enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 campaign with Millwall, making 77 appearances, scoring 15 goals and registering 13 assists. His performances earned him recognition in both the PFA Championship Team of the Season and the EFL Championship Team of the Season.
Azeez’s journey to the Premier League has been notable. He came through the youth system at Watford before playing non-league football with Northwood, Wealdstone and Hanwell Town. He later joined Reading in 2019 before moving to Millwall in 2024.
The winger has also made an early impact at international level with Nigeria. On his senior debut in June 2026, Azeez scored both goals as the Super Eagles defeated Zimbabwe 2-0. He followed that performance with an assist in Nigeria’s 3-0 win over Jamaica four days later.
His move to Brighton marks another major step in a rapid rise from non-league football to the Premier League.
Brighton sporting director Mike Cave welcomed the new signing, saying the club was delighted to add Azeez to its squad following his excellent season with Millwall.
The transfer fee has not been officially disclosed by Brighton, although reports before the completion of the deal had put the package in the region of £15 million.
